The Epilepsy Foundation Applauds Sotomayor NominationThe Epilepsy Foundation joins many organizations in the disability community in applauding President Obama’s selection of Judge Sonia Sotomayor for appointment to the United States Supreme Court. Judge Sotomayor has a unique personal understanding of disability discrimination informed by her diagnosis with diabetes at a young age. Epilepsy Foundation Vice President, Legal & Government Affairs Sandy Finucane reviewed Judge Sotomayor’s record on disability law issues and noted an excellent understanding of the various laws applicable to people with disabilities.
